Cyprian Mojo

Cipriano Moio was born in the 93rd arrondissement of Saint-Denis. The son of Italian immigrants, the youngest of five children, he spent his entire youth in Eaubonne, a suburban housing project north of Paris. He owes much of the happy days of his childhood to this orchard nestled between the walls of the buildings, a corner of paradise that remained wild and was, for him, the most beautiful of playgrounds. Despite his passion for reading novels, which he devoured without restraint in his spare time, school would not be the place of fulfillment he had hoped for. He felt as cramped there as a lion in a cage. He was a rebellious dreamer who spent most of his time watching the birds fly behind the windows of his classroom. After a short period of study, with his BEPC (French vocational certificate) in his pocket, he left school at the age of 17 to work for a few months in two metalworking factories, which would definitively dissuade him from following in his father's footsteps as a worker at Citroën. He did his military service in Alsace, a year that would leave him with lasting nightmares, then ran a pizza truck for 12 years. Dissatisfied, thirsting for wide open spaces and freedom, and desperately in love with the French language, he left his suburbs and his job as a pizza maker at the age of 33 to move to the countryside, where he has since devoted himself entirely to writing.

This is a moving story that I invite you to devour. The story of Ulysses and Lou, two raw nerves in search of meaning and the absolute who love each other madly. Fragile happiness: disgust with a world that revolts them, fear that everything will end one day, Ulysses and Lou know they are vulnerable. The revelation of a hidden secret, tragic news, and the waking dream they are living will suddenly turn into a nightmare. How far can you go for love? How far would you go for love? This is the fundamental question posed by this novel. Publication date: July 1, 2024 Order Press release

What's the point of adding color if the painting is bloodless with emotion? What's the point of contemplating beauty on the surface without taking the trouble to explore its depths? I invite you to embark on a journey into the depths of the soul: the return voyage of Ulysses; a modern-day Ulysses, with his solitude, his wanderings, his doubts, his convictions, his flashes of brilliance. Captain of a ghost ship, Ulysses tirelessly haunts the world's oceans. What is he looking for? Who is he looking for? He is looking for Atlantis, a whole submerged world. He is looking for purity, love, wonder, freedom, light. Ulysses finds the hidden treasures of this mythical city in the protective Woman; the mother, the sister, the wife: his reasons for hope, his reasons for being. Publication date: March 1, 2023 Order
