Lamia Amrane

Lamia AMRANE, wife of HAMADACHE, was born in Algiers in 1978. Mother of three daughters, and graduated from the University of Algiers in Interpreting and Translation, she worked in aviation, then mainly in web writing and administration. After living for 9 years in Quebec (Montreal), she settled near Tours, in Indre-et-Loire. At the end of 2020, she launched her entrepreneurial career as a web editor and translator from English to French. "The Blue Portal" is her first novel, inspired by her country of origin and her experiences.

Emma, a young Parisian from a privileged background, spends her summer vacation in Algeria, despite herself. Full of prejudices and preconceived ideas, she dreads this trip and creates a shell to avoid any interaction. But against all odds, her stay takes an unexpected turn. Not only does she end up enjoying it through the streets of Algiers and Oran, but she also forges connections as improbable as they are fabulous. Age, and even less so divergent cultures, will not be able to stand in the way of the genesis of an exceptional story. Publication date: May 1, 2023 Order
