Stéphane Pucheu

Stéphane Pucheu

A specialist in the short story—some 1,200 written to date—and a founder of abstract literature, Stéphane Pucheu's prose is both a reflection of art and a philosophy. He also works as a critic and essayist for the RAL'm literary society. Theater is his most recent genre of exploration, beginning with "Didascalies." "Jules César" (his second play) features a historical figure central to his work for over a decade. His university studies in History sparked a passion for Greco-Roman antiquity, a fascination that has remained with him since the mid-2000s, as he continues to explore it through extensive reading.

“This play is an ontological reconstruction of a great historical figure, Julius Caesar. I have written about him many times—within the RAL'm collective—developing an aesthetic of his trajectory and personality, underpinned by what must be considered a tribute to the power and intelligence of Roman civilization. Caesar wanders from one scene to the next, alone on stage, embodying the space and time of his words, his deeds… and much more.” SP Publication: October 1, 2025 Order Press Release
