Julien Delpech and Denis Rousseau dream of a musical career. In the 1960s, they founded the Bathyscaphes, a Shadows-style rock band, and then, in the 1970s, the Fusibles, who played a rhythm'n'blues/reggae fusion. Going beyond the strict framework of the stories of these two groups, Les Fusibles (pètent les plombs) is above all a novel about coming of age. Because, for all the characters who frolic and struggle in this adventure, it is now a question of moving from childhood dreams to action. Of determining how far they are willing to go to satisfy their passion, to write their future, knowing that the slightest scratch on the blank page costs dearly. At their side, Delphine the intellectual, Armelle the wanderer, and Roméo the crooner will learn their trade, each with the tools that life, their education, and their social background have given them. If the tone is comedic, the novel is like life: drama sometimes rubs shoulders with friendship, love. Laughter and smiles. Publication date: February 1, 2024 Order
