Douro Editions "Through reading, we become absent from ourselves and our own lives." Alphonse Karr
Thierry Focone
Chaumont, in Haute-Marne, resembles most small provincial towns: a few picturesque historic sites, the countryside on the outskirts of the city, and a reassuring living environment. When this relative tranquility is shattered after the sordid murder of a young student, a race against time begins, leading a Chaumont police officer and an American FBI agent to pursue the murderer. They have only one clue to hope to put an end to this deadly spiral: a small silver cross bearing the image of the Knights Templar.
