Dominique MEYER

Dominique MEYER

Originally from Lons-le-Saunier in the Jura region, Dominique Meyer currently lives in the Haut-Doubs. Having grown up immersed in a wide variety of literature and authors, she studied Modern Literature at the University of Besançon and then taught at the Lycée de Pontarlier. Retired for five years, she now devotes herself to her lifelong passion: writing. *Blanche l'obligée* is her third novel, in which, as in her previous works, her analytical mind and her love of music, nature, and animals are evident.

This woman immediately inspired her trust. A mixture of vivacity and gentleness emanated from her, an aptitude for empathy heightened by respect, a profound kindness devoid of condescension. An inner beauty of such strength that it made one forget the plain features of her face. Blanche then realized she had come to the right place, that the saving grace lay here, in the hands of the psychotherapist. Blanche grew up between two worlds: that of her father, darkened by grief and family resentments; and that of her mother, a bourgeois environment brimming with kindness. Two worlds equally dear to the child, but with which she had to navigate to win the love of a father who constantly belittled her. This quest for love would shape her entire adult life. A life marred by lukewarm relationships, constant guilt, and incessant questioning about her father's lack of affection. A life punctuated by a dual feeling of remorse and anger towards her mother… Publication date: June 2, 2025 Order Press release
