This book is the result of a challenge set by two teachers to 28 first-year ASSP vocational baccalaureate students from Bouchardon high school: to write a book. The theme: to tell the stories of ordinary women and men who have made their mark on the history of Haute-Marne and neighboring departments. Through their destiny and thanks to the illustrations created by final year STD2A students from Charles de Gaulle high school, the reader will be able to discover – or rediscover – a region, significant events, moving and funny anecdotes, or simply forgotten ways of life.
