Eliane Aubert-Colombani
Eliane Aubert-Colombani published two essays, a collection of poetry, and more than thirty novels. Some bear witness to the Second World War, such as "Le journal d'un Collabo" (The Diary of a Collaborator), which was acclaimed by the entire national press and was on the syllabus at the University of Cologne. Her other novels, mostly published by A Fior di Carta, are inspired by Corsica, her native land, and allow her to give free rein to her poetry. "Le curé et la militante" (The Priest and the Activist) was adapted for the stage by George Buisson, administrator of Nohant.
In the middle of her life, Brigitte, a painter suffering from a devastating illness, takes refuge in her native Corsican village. There, she reconnects with a cousin who has been in love with her since adolescence but has never confessed his feelings. No longer able to paint, she uses her insightful diarist to analyze all the conceptions of love she has ever known or experienced. However, she has not foreseen the ultimate "little infinity" where she will be reunited with her cousin. Publication date: March 1, 2023. Order now
