Three months before the municipal elections in Juvigny, a suburb of Paris, Commissioner Budowski is tasked with investigating a murder that has all the hallmarks of a political conspiracy to oust the mayor. The prime suspect is none other than Antoine Malherbe, a flamboyant lawyer and the mayor's son, caught in the middle of a family tragedy that conveniently resurfaces from the past with the murder. Perhaps too convenient for Budowski. The seizure of a million euros worth of Beatles memorabilia from the deceased's home reinforces the guilt of the ideal suspect, whose resemblance to John Lennon is taken to the point of obsessive identification. Thus begins an encounter with the ghosts of Beatlemania that will lead the commissioner to the forbidden story of the Lennon fanatic.
