Jean-Claude Goiri

Jean-Claude Goiri was born in 1967 to a family who moved from Bilbao to Auvergne, and he now lives in Nancy. This migration led to questions about dual culture, territory, deterritorialization, and borders. Self-taught, he also transcended these socio-professional boundaries, first working as a musician, then in interpreting and translation before becoming a trainer in the fight against illiteracy and finally leading writing workshops full-time. Thus, he has been involved in writing since 2002. After creating the fanzine Matulu, he participated and still regularly participates in several magazines. He currently directs the magazine FPM and the TARMAC publishing house.

A collection of burlesque and satirical short stories, La part ductile… pushes to the extreme this waste of energy that some people commit daily to squandering the lives of their fellow human beings. These people spend their time gnawing at each other with their teeth instead of building a positive relationship. And this, in the smallest of their actions. Strangeness, manias, fear often result in exclusion, confinement, profit, or crime. So, what better way than humor and derision to talk about it and spark ideas for operating differently? Alternating between short stories and micro-stories, the texts leave plenty of room for the reader's imagination.
