Daniel Borgis

Ando RANAIVOSOA

Born on January 12, 1940, in Ugine, Savoie, Daniel Borgis lives in Crest-Voland, a winter sports resort 12 km from Megève. He spent virtually his entire professional career with a public works company based in Paris, working primarily in West Africa, particularly in Nigeria. Since his retirement in January 2000, he has devoted himself to his passion for writing. He has always been interested in detective novels, of which he is an avid reader.

An emergency room nurse, residing in a ski resort in the Savoy region, was returning home after her night shift at a local hospital. The road leading to the resort was snow-covered, and driving conditions were particularly difficult, especially in the middle of the night. Her vehicle was equipped with practically new snow tires. But she became stuck on the mountain road. A victim of the cold and appalling weather conditions, she died without being able to call for help. A tragic traffic problem on a snowy road? Upon arriving at the scene, rescuers discovered that her vehicle had been sabotaged; the snow tires had been reversed on the drive wheels, rendering them completely ineffective on the snow. The victim was in the process of getting a divorce. Her husband, an irascible and violent man, had threatened her repeatedly because he knew she was having an extramarital affair. She had just broken up with her lover, who is also suspected of having sought revenge. Is one of the two men the murderer? Illusions, lies, jealousy and pretense… A novel full of twists and turns.
