Hélène Phung

Hélène Phung

Of Franco-Vietnamese origin, Hélène Phung participated from a very young age, from the late 1970s to the 1980s, in numerous underground poetry movements, primarily in France, but also in Belgium. Publishing under the name Hélène Serpollier, she published various pamphlets and collections with Castor Astral, Le Crayon Noir, Polder, etc., and contributed to journals such as Ecriterre, Les Ateliers de l'agneau, Contreciel, etc. A literary and personal rupture brought an end to all written production for about thirty years.

It's time to leave, to rediscover the source of our steps, where the thirst for travel begins. The breath of vast migrations has crossed our hearts, lifted our wings. I would like to follow the wake of angels, of birds, of insects, of all flying beings that ascend towards the invisible. It is from this impalpable journey that we are made, from this place within ourselves that watches from the other shore. Publication: March 1, 2025
