Gerard Pouettre

Gérard Pouettre is a former professor of Economics and Social Sciences; he runs a writing workshop and is the author of a collection of slams "Au gré des jours" (Culturkom edition) and "Chroniques de Moritz" (Douro edition). His cat Moritz is his inspiration.

Moritz is certainly a connected cat. He showed this in his previous Chronicles of Moritz (Ed Douro), but he of course needs nature and real social relationships. He has managed to make friends with a beech tree. Their dialogues express all the complicity between animal and plant. He does not forget his fellow creatures, however. Moritz and his two feline friends each have their own personal perception of the world, but this will not prevent emotional bonds from forming. Like each of us, they navigate between reason and feelings. Publication date: February 1, 2024 Order

Cats don't just sleep. They observe us. Sometimes critically, compassionately, or encouragingly. Moritz goes further. He's connected to the world. He's passionate about current events and deciphers the media. He casually raises important issues without overthinking it. By giving his feline perspective on a wide variety of topics—health, the environment, education, fashion, and even geopolitics—he gives us glimpses of wisdom, well-being, and serenity.
