Born in Chaumont, Haute-Marne, 39-year-old Aurore Boesch cultivates a love of the imaginary through her paintings and writing, inspired by authors such as Hayao Miyazaki, Bernard Werber, Stephen King, Quentin Tarantino, and Tim Burton. She writes primarily in the evenings, preferably on a rainy autumn day, visualizing the book as a film or anime, always with a musical background, mainly rock. Her paintings are a continuation of her books, sometimes even a fusion of them. She began writing in her childhood, finding her imaginary world within them, which she has nurtured year after year. Nature remains her primary source of inspiration: she spends hours contemplating the small things around us and is constantly inspired by various personal anecdotes, both recounted and from news stories. She has pursued several educational paths: a high school diploma in literature followed by studies in art history, then illustration for children's books, and finally, herbalism. Passionate about mythology, history and animated by art in all its forms, Aurore unveils a wacky universe, punctuated by her dreams, where poetry, color and music are linked to words, giving readers a new angle of observation.
