Who is the author of an interview: the one who asks the questions, or the one who answers them? Here, the former will be given priority, quite rightly. And what is a rebel? Someone who doesn't do things like everyone else, who lives a different life, who dares when others prefer to follow? There are rebels and then there are rebels. I mean, there are true rebels and there are people who are different, who lead different lives, who have created their own lives without necessarily shouting louder. Rebels and passionate individuals, in a way, who all push their passion to the limit without the slightest concern for their social, professional, or family background. They all have something to teach us. Whether it's Salah Al Hamdani, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Michel Maffesoli, Alain Duault, or even a bodybuilder, an Everest record holder, a curator who created the largest poetry festival in Europe, and so on. And why not? And why shouldn't I do what I envision for myself, what would make me dream and allow me to truly live, truly be alive? This is what Éric Desordre seems to be exploring in these fast-paced interviews. And he paints a portrait of them. Rebel Portraits: a kind of user's manual!
