It's difficult to write even a brief biography of someone whose pseudonym is all you know and whom you've only met once, late one evening, already under the influence of alcohol. I can provide the context: a bar in Limoges, after a concert by the Rispéridone Sisters (Jean-Paul Daniel, Laurent Rousseau, and myself), where we were reading poems by Alejandra Pizarnik, Sylvia Plath, Emma Santos, Sarah Kane, Gisélidis Réal, Valérie Solanas, and others. As for the end of the show, an unknown woman with a beautiful, olive face, who looked to be around sixty but was perhaps ageless, came to greet me and said that, if we liked them, she would like us to read her texts aloud. She was going to send me three manuscripts, which she left with the bartender over the course of three months at the place where we met. I read this strange gift with the keenest interest. I sent her a few letters, which received only one reply: “My name is Rose Dust. I am very tired. These texts are yours; I am happy that you will share them with me, but they are a burden.” Yann Karaquillo, Actor and Director. Publication date: March 1, 2024. Order now
