Laurence Haurat-Draunet worked for a long time as a History and Geography teacher in an establishment in the Southwest of France. Reading and writing have allowed her, since childhood, to escape off the beaten track. She is also interested in different forms of art, cultures, and foreign languages. She loves more than anything observing and listening to the people she meets. Their different ways of thinking and adapting to the ups and downs of life represent, for her, an infinite and often astonishing richness of the human race. This curiosity for others forms the basis of the characters who run through her novel.
