Then, as he read through the book, he left behind the meanderings of philosophy and the rigor of mathematics, and came to the Catalogue of Stars… Georges Duquin – Georges Duquin returns to the original poetry that is philosophy in his great work, The Dream. His syncretic style, in The Open, is pure philosophy of life. The path opens up and each fork is both choice and chance, each fork plunges deeper into life… but we do not control the wind.

THE TS'IN JOURNEY

“I left the River Wei ardent and full of hope. Now I am numb and weary. Thus, time is measured less by events and adventures, its apparent milestones, than by the yardstick of the soul's changes. In the bosom of impassive nature, man changes and then dissolves.” Georges Duquin. Georges Duquin's language, the pure syntax of his text, the subtlety of his philosophical thought transport us into the world of the inverted mountain. The emergence of the West by accident, in the form of a woman who has vanished in a London dream, or perhaps in Calcutta, the incalculable city, seems absurd. And yet.
