Annie Wallois

Annie Wallois lives in the Lille region. Originally from the Sept Vallées region in the Pas-de-Calais, she is deeply attached to the paths that crisscross this Artois countryside, whose influence is evident in her poetry. She has published in literary journals. She is the author of four collections published by Éditions Henry: Nuit rebroussée (2011), Versets de la marche (2017, winner of the 2018 Simone de Carfort Prize), Sous le non-lieu du ciel (2020), and Comme on s'assure du sol (2022).

Because the "blue stone of the threshold" is at the beginning, to return to it at every moment, to stand there, and on this base to replay the beginnings. To try, in short, to unveil the gaze, to restore it to its original freedom, to its original lucidity.
