Alain LERCHER

Alain Lercher was born in Germany. A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure, he holds a master's degree in philosophy and is a qualified teacher of literature. He has worked successively as an assistant director and actor, teacher, and administrative magistrate. He is the author of a dictionary of philosophy, published by Belin, two collections of poems, and several collections of essays and short stories, published by Gallimard and Verdier, notably *Les fantômes d'Oradour* (The Ghosts of Oradour).
