Seeking justice for her child, who was illegally given up for adoption, Angélique Paradis must confront her fears as her worst nightmares become reality. Amidst a journey strewn with pitfalls and encounters with shattered lives where hope remains, she will conduct her search with admirable courage and unwavering determination. Lucky Lady, a story of sex, drugs and disco

After a difficult delivery and a heartbreaking family revelation, Angélique leaves Quebec to escape to South Florida to reflect on her future. Her innocence, the discovery of her sexual power, the excitement of drugs, and her passion for disco music will lead her on incredible adventures. But soon, the devastation of AIDS and the ravages of cocaine will undermine this nonconformist euphoria of the 80s. Even though her duty as a mother has never left her thoughts and she feels safe in love, nothing suggests she will encounter death, the CIA, and the dark world of drug trafficking.
