This collection evokes the difficulty of loving and the dichotomy that exists between love according to men and the expectations of women.
Pascal DEPRESLE
Pascal Depresle was born on October 15, 1966, in Montluçon (Allier). This author, from the Auvergne and Bourbonnais regions, is passionate about literature, from medieval poetry and theater to Bukowski, contemporary authors, and René Fallet, his youthful mentor who instilled in him this love of language. For nearly forty years, he chased after a novel he had written in his youth and has finally decided to turn the page by publishing it with the subtitle *Le cri des Autres* (The Cry of Others). Here, the author attempts to address, from the perspective of poetry and the masculine vision of love, the dichotomy that gives this work its title: the potential for artificial division between men and women in this powerful feeling that should only unite. A novelist, essayist, and poet, *Ainsi aiment les hommes* (This Is How Men Love), published by DOURO, is his ninth collection of poems and his twelfth book.
