Patricia Ryckewaert
A former emergency room nurse and then psychotherapist (IFAPP) for many years, I live in the Luberon region where I write. I try to give voice to the poetry that animates me, sustains me, makes me feel alive. It is written there for me, it is also cried out. A vast voice that comes from afar, perhaps from before words...something that is constantly being born, that begins within me, a life force that seeks to connect with others, to bind desire to Language, to wrest away certainties, to echo the world's sensitivity, to know its infinite and intimate trembling.
It's a love poem, with sulfur in it, blood beneath the nails—the story of lovers, yearning for each other, never quite reaching one another—sewing themselves together in a corset of words, knotting desire to language—it's a path of stitches, woven with the red of the sky, with the other's sensitivity—a night to cross, eyes wide open, to reach the other shore.
